That's why for 9 months now, I've had only one thing on my bucket list
Only one, because I wanted to focus on it. I wanted to make sure it came true
From the great Twain…
So I watched my basket very closely. And now it's coming true
A 9 night adventure in the desert with no place to buy anything. 65,000+ kindred artistic souls all exploring / surviving / living together in a place where no other animal would be foolish enough to call home. Just a bunch of crazy Burners. Sounds like heaven
I'm heading back to Burning Man. My third trip. And it's still impossible to describe
It's not easy, none of it
It's too hot in the day, too cold at night and the fine dust gets into EVERYTHING. It's a trip that takes a long time to plan and prepare for. Mentally, physically, financially
So that's why it's the only thing on my bucket list!
A bucket list of 10 items usually ends up with 1 or 2 awesome, life changing events (that never get done or even started) and a bunch of 'nice to do someday' items
Checking one of them off does little to feed your soul!
But they do serve to distract and pacify you!
Don't settle for easy wins!
Pick one thing
One awesome thing to focus on
And start devoting your life to it
Not your work life
Not your social life
Not your family life
Your real, true life
The life you've been waiting to start
The number one regret of the dying is common across all demographics. People on their deathbed most regretted that they did not live a life true to themselves and instead ...
"I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me"
From a ground breaking study by Bronnie Ware...
Don't be that person!
The vast majority of people have no big dream to focus on. They are a boat adrift with no destination
Any shot without a target is sure to succeed
In hitting nothing
In getting you nowhere
Hold one dream, one goal only in your heart
